Center for African Studies Rosberg-Geist Undergrad Fellowship for Travel to Africa $3,000 Fellowships of up to $3,000 are available to defray the costs of travel to Africa. The Nelson W. Polsby Grant for Public Affairs Research Up to $500 Grant to encourage undergraduates to conduct major research on an aspect of American politics. For UCB undergrads, graduating after 12/07, who have participated or are participating in 1) the UC Berkeley Washington Program, 2) the Cal in Sacramento Program, OR 3) the Political Science senior honor thesis class. The grant may cover research expenses such as travel for interviews, purchase of a dataset, or covering photocopying costs at an archive. Science, Technology, and Society Center Summer Grants Program $500 For summer research projects addressing issues of science, technology, and society and promoting scholarship regarding their deep intertwinings in society. Applications can be submitted by any Berkeley undergraduate not graduating at the end of the 2008 Spring semester. Recipients must submit a final report within two weeks of the end of the grant period and will be asked to present their projects at a STSC Forum. Student Opportunity Funds (SOF) $2,000, max. Provides funds to 1) support collaborative events/publications by and for UCB students on campus 2) offset expenses of attending prof. mtgs, research conferences, and academic competitions.
