The Robert & Colleen Haas Scholars Program at the University of California, Berkeley funds financial aid eligible, academically talented UC Berkeley undergraduates to engage in a sustained research, field-study or creative project in the summer before and during their senior year at Berkeley. Each year, twenty Haas Scholars are selected from all disciplines and departments across the University on the basis of the merit and originality of their project proposals. 2012 Haas Scholars Undergraduate Research ConferenceTHE SCHOLARLY SPARK --------- List of 2012-2013 ScholarsWant to get involved in research? Workshops are given weekly from July through mid-February. From February they are given less frequently, but you will find many of the workshop handouts on the documents page. The workshops address why, and how, you can get started in research. Also, find out about opportunities for funding your research (travel, buy equipment or supplies, not work, etc.), and how to write a good proposal. All workshops are in 9 Durant Hall, unless otherwise noted. Click here for description of each workshop. Scroll down for the workshop schedule.
