2011 Annual Spring Research Conference

(In) VISIBILITY: Navigating the Unseen

2011 Haas Scholars Undergraduate Research Conference

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY

April 22-April 23, 2011
Conference
9 Durant Hall
UC Berkeley Campus

http://research.berkeley.edu/haas_scholars/

Much of the 2010-11 Haas Scholars' work is concerned with throwing in relief objects, persons, places, and technologies which often go under our radar. Studying near-extinct Amazonian languages and new technologies for silicon nanowires, officially disregarded Cape Town populations and unexplored aspects of salmonella genetics, Arthurian legends in the Philippines and the environmental impacts of the palm oil boom, the scholars' work must chart through territory where academic guideposts are unseen in an effort to bring their findings and discoveries into visibility. Their shared journey has become the foundation of a community spanning interdisciplinary boundaries. Please join us to witness the discoveries produced by this passage.
