Interested in Research Opportunities
and Resources for Undergraduates?

The Research @ Berkeley electronic mailing list was created to help you stay on top of the many opportunities available to Berkeley undergraduates interested in research. You need to be a Berkeley student to subscribe.

Subscribers can expect to receive up-to-date information about on- and off-campus undergraduate research opportunities, including reminders about application deadlines. As a subscriber, you will also receive notification about related campus events and resources that will help you make the most of your undergraduate education and prepare yourself for your future professional goals. Emails are weekly in peak deadline season, much less frequent at other times.

Calmail users can (and should) subscribe and unsubscribe by going to the "manage mailing lists" screen after they log in to their account from the Calmail login page.

All users can subscribe by sending an e-mail, from the e-mail account you want subscribed to the list, to

researcher-request@lists.berkeley.edu

with the following message in the subject header of the e-mail: subscribe.

You will then receive a message with subject heading "Your confirmation is required to join the researcher mailing list". You must reply, carefully following the instructions contained in the message.

When you receive a message with subject heading "Welcome to researcher", you will know you have succeeded.

To unsubscribe, send an e-mail from the subscribed address to the researcher-requests@lists.berkeley.edu, with the following subject heading: unsubscribe.

Again, you will receive a message to confirm your desire to unsubscribe. You must reply.

You will receive a confirmation message when you succeed in unsubscribing.

Non Calmail users: To subscribe a non Calmail account, you can also visit https://calmail.berkeley.edu/manage/list/listinfo/researcher@lists.berkeley.edu and join by filling out the fields. You can go to the same url later -- save/remember your password or have it mailed back to you -- to unsubscribe.

The Research @ Berkeley mailing list is a joint project of the Office of Undergraduate Research, located in 301 Campbell Hall, and the Berkeley Undergraduate Research Consortium (BURC): a working group of staff in undergraduate research programs on the UC Berkeley campus.
