The History of Contraception and Abortion in the United States

Dr. Luker is working on a forthcoming book on how contraception and abortion came to be regulated in the late 19th century, became liberalized a century later, and are now the focus of intense political controversy. This summer I will be proofreading her chapters for citations, redundancies, and writing tones.

Message To Sponsor

I think this has been a wonderful experience. I’ve been on this team for years and have always done research memos. This summer, I had the opportunity to do something different and to look at writing and research from a new perspective. I am deeply thankful for this opportunity, and it has truly been such an enriching experience. I have no doubt that such knowledge and skills will find their place as I continue my academic career into graduate studies.
