Effects of Kilohertz Transcranial Magnetic Perturbation on Cortical Excitability
Non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) modulates neural activity through the application of electrical or magnetic fields to a targeted region of the scalp. While many NIBS methods have proven to be useful in research and clinical treatments, each method presents its own limitations. The goal of this project is to test the efficacy of a new NIBS device known as Kilohertz Transcranial Magnetic Perturbation (kTMP) which has the potential to surpass key limitations present in standard NIBS methods. By analyzing the effects of kTMP on motor output or behavioral tasks, we can better understand the facilitatory or inhibitory capabilities of the device and its potential for clinical application.
