- Individualized mentoring from UC Berkeley faculty
- A Fall seminar and Spring writing workshop foster a supportive peer community and provide mechanisms for staff and faculty feedback, which help students stay on track with their projects
- An opportunity to present findings at a program-specific academic conference in January
- Assistance with graduate school and fellowship applications and career counseling
- Membership in an alumni community (438+ strong and growing each year!) that provides ongoing connections and support
- Up to $13,800 in financial support during your fellowship year:
- Disbursed in May 2023:
- Up to $5,000 for your research expenses
- $5,000 for living expenses
- Disbursed in mid-August 2023, as part of your 23-24 financial aid package:
- $1800 living expenses stipend
- Disbursed in mid-January, 2024, as part of your 23-24 financial aid package if you will still be registered and working on your project:
